The Recipe (Brownies):
- 10 tbsp butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs

Directions (Salted Caramel):
- In saucepan, whisk water and sugar to a boil until caramel colored.
- Remove from the heat and whisk in the heavy whipping cream.
- Stir in the yeast extract, salt and vanilla. Return to heat for 1-2 minutes until thickened.
Directions (Brownies):
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×9 inch pan. Melt the butter over a medium heat in a saucepan and cook until it turns pale, golden brown.
- Remove from heat and add the sugar. Mix in the cocoa powder, baking powder, coffee powder and salt. Let cool for 5 minutes.
- Spread the mixture into the pan and smooth the top. Swirl in the salted caramel with a knife.
- Bake for 30 – 35 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
